About this event
A performance that brings Indian Kathak dance and Portuguese fado music together, built around the old Indian idea of rasa (the emotion a performance creates). Kathak dancer Proteeti Bhattacharjee and fado singer Sofia Pedro, with Raquel Lima on Portuguese guitar and Joana Almeida on classical guitar, take the audience through several connected rasas with gesture, rhythmic footwork and song. Presented by Casa de Fado Amsterdam and Art Uncurated at the Plein Theater.
